A never-sleepy set of eyes, EyeSight*1 is our stereo vision driver assist technology that acts as your intelligent copilot. Constantly scanning, it processes millions of things every second to alert you at the first sign of danger. It keeps you out of trouble and out of harm’s way. It looks ahead, measures distance from objects, senses danger before you do, and even applies braking force in emergency situations. How well does EyeSight perform on chaotic city roads? The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave Subaru models with EyeSight the highest possible ratings for front crash prevention.
EyeSight is made up of 6 different components to bring you a safer road ahead: Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Sway Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Pre-Collision Braking*2, Pre-Collision Throttle Management and Lead Vehicle Start Alert.
EyeSight is available on selected XV, Outback, Levorg, Impreza and Legacy models. Watch the videos below to explore how each component of EyeSight works together to bring you a safer road ahead.
*1 EyeSight is a driving support system which may not operate optimally under all driving conditions.
*2 Pre-Collision Braking System may not work in all situations. Depending on the speed difference from objects, the object’s height and other conditions, every situation may not meet the necessary conditions for EyeSight to work optimally.
