Official Statement on U.S. Media Reports regarding Subaru EyeSight Technology

SINGAPORE, 21 May – Motor Image Enterprises is aware of recent media reports from the United States (U.S.) regarding a legal filing involving the EyeSight Driver Assist Technology in certain Subaru models.

EyeSight Driver Assist Technology is a core safety pillar of the Subaru brand, and we take all reports concerning its performance seriously. We would like to provide the following clarification for our customers.

Local Service Data Audit

Our technical team has conducted an audit of our local service records and customer feedback. To date, our data shows no unusual trend or systemic reports of unpredictable braking or steering interference in local vehicles. The safety systems in our local vehicles continue to operate according to the manufacturer’s intended performance standards.

Clarification with Subaru Corporation

We are in communication with Subaru Corporation (Japan) to clarify the facts surrounding the allegations in the U.S. lawsuit and to confirm if they have any relevance to the models distributed in our region.

Ongoing Commitment

There is currently no evidence to suggest that the circumstances being alleged in the U.S. apply to vehicles locally. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide further updates as more information is clarified by the manufacturer.

We remain committed to the safety of our drivers. We encourage any owner with questions about their EyeSight Driver Assist Technology system to refer to their Owner’s Manual regarding system limitations or to visit our authorized service centres for a routine check.
