Regarding the Battery Performance Legal Filing Reports (Published 12 May 2026)
Subaru Corporation (Japan) has clarified that the usage environments, as well as the hardware and software specifications of vehicles sold in our market, differ significantly from those in the U.S.. Consequently, Subaru Corporation (Japan) does not consider this to be a market-specific or inherent quality concern.
Our local service data audit mirrors this conclusion, indicating no unusual uptick or trend in battery-related concerns within Singapore. Vehicle battery performance remains entirely consistent with standard operating expectations.
Regarding the U.S. Forester Sunroof Recall Reports (Published 6 June 2026)
Following recent U.S. media reports regarding a voluntary safety recall due the power sunroof glass panel on certain 2026 model year Forester and Forester E-BOXER Hybrid vehicles, Subaru Corporation (Japan) has confirmed that this issue exclusively impacts vehicles manufactured in the United States.
All 2026 model year Foresters distributed in our region are manufactured in Japan and utilize a different component supplier. Therefore, the manufacturing circumstances and specific parts involved in the U.S. recall have no relevance to our local vehicles, and the Foresters in our market are unaffected.

With these official clarifications from the manufacturer, we wish to reassure our owners that the circumstances alleged in the North American filings and recall do not apply to our local vehicles.
We remain deeply committed to the safety and peace of mind of our drivers. As a matter of routine vehicle care, we encourage any owner with general questions to refer to their Owner’s Manual regarding system operations, or to visit our authorized service centres for standard maintenance and comprehensive health checks.
