MI-Tech Engine Oils have been designed to meet API SP specifications. They provide exceptional engine protection, improved fuel economy and greater power compared with more viscous products.

Formulated with the latest technology to ensure emission control systems durability, MI-Tech Engine Oils also feature high-performance anti-wear additives that reduce engine internal friction and wear, resulting in increased engine life.

MI-Tech Engine Oils have excellent anti-oxidation, anti-deposit and anti-black sludge properties that prevent premature oil thickening and ageing due to thermal stress while maintaining a clean engine. They pack anti-corrosion and anti-foam properties too.

Mi-Tech 0W20

Formulated for both fuel economy and performance, the MI-Tech 0W20 Engine Oil is suitable for turbo or naturally aspirated gasoline engines equipped with catalytic converters. It has been developed to suit all gasoline engines running on leaded, unleaded, LPG, Autogas and E85 fuels.

For the perfect balance of fuel economy and power, the MI-Tech 5W30 Engine Oil has been developed to suit all driving conditions as well as the latest internal combustion engines running on leaded, unleaded, LPG, Autogas and E85 fuels. It is formulated with high-performance anti-wear additives to ensure durability of engine and emission control systems.

8100 Power 5W30

Special developed formula Exclusive to Motul that reduces exhaust gases from engines certified by API SN PLUS and helps increase lubrication efficiency and reduce wear more than normal formula oils. Suitable for SUBARU BOXER engines.

Why the switch to Motul?

Subaru has collaborated with Motul since the 2008 season of the Asia Pacific Rally Championship (APRC) where we jointly developed the APRC Team Racing Oil - an exclusive formula designed to provide optimal lubrication and maximum power output for engines operating at very high temperatures.

It was very successful and now, moving away from high-performance turbocharged engines, we would like to revive the collaboration by rolling out new types of engine oils that are optimised for production engine usage. Why is there a price difference compared to other engine oils?

The MI-Tech Engine Oils are specially formulated for Subaru cars in Asia. Thus, they should not be compared with other lubricants in the market. Available only at Motor Image branches and authorised Subaru dealerships, MI-Tech Engine Oils are reasonably priced for the level of performance, fuel efficiency and quality they offer.

Will we experience increased engine oil consumption?

There should not be any increase in engine oil consumption unless:
- the engine is new and is still running-in
- the engine oil is of inferior quality
- the incorrect oil viscosity is used
- engine braking is employed
- the car is driven at high engine speeds for long durations
- the engine is subjected to heavy loads
- the car is towing a trailer
- you leave the car to idle for long periods of time
- you are constantly driving in heavy stop-start traffic
- the car is exposed to severe thermal conditions
- the car accelerates and decelerates frequently
Under these or similar conditions, you should check your car’s engine oil level every second time you refuel, and change your engine oil more frequently.

Will this affect our warranty?

No, this will not affect your warranty as long as the MI-Tech Engine Oil is purchased from Motor Image branches and authorised Subaru dealerships in these seven markets – Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
