Visibility optimised for every condition

The E-OUTBACK's safety performance is enhanced by optimised pillar shapes that minimise blind spots, allowing drivers to detect hazards quickly and drive confidently during cornering, turning, and reversing.

Intuitive Interface

The E-OUTBACK has thoughtfully designed features to help drivers focus on driving, including a top-mounted LCD meter that conveys essential information and a centre display for intuitive control of functions and settings.

Digital Inner Mirror

The live image from a rear-facing camera is displayed for a clear view behind, unobstructed by passengers or bad weather.

Panoramic View Monitor

Live images from cameras mounted around the vehicle are displayed on the 14-inch centre display providing visual support at low speeds.

Stability & Reliability

SUBARU’s signature AWD delivers outstanding traction and drivability, while its suspension system, designed for precise control, ensures predictable vehicle behaviour. The highly rigid e-SUBARU GLOBAL PLATFORM, with its low centre of gravity, provides handling stability and enhanced risk avoidance.

Traceability

Imagine driving through a slippery corner on a rainy day, navigating the turn with precision and exiting smoothly. The E-OUTBACK is equipped with functions like Vehicle Stability Control and Traction Control to make this possible.

Stopping

Braking performance plays a critical role in a car’s safety and ability to avoid risks. The E-OUTBACK’s brakes, equipped with an Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), are designed to respond quickly on almost any road surface.

Blind Spot Monitor (BSM)

The system uses radar to detect vehicles in adjacent lanes, including those in rear blind spots difficult to see in door mirrors. When a vehicle is detected, an LED indicator on the door mirror lights up.

Safe Exit Assist (SEA)

When stationary, the rear radar detects vehicles or bicycles approaching from behind and alerts occupants to potential collisions with visual warnings. If a door is then opened, a buzzer sounds to raise the alarm level.

Parking Support Brake (PKSB)

A camera detects the presence of pedestrians in E-OUTBACK’s path when reversing and warns the driver with an audio alert. If the system judges a collision is about to happen, it automatically applies the brakes to avoid or reduce injuries or damage.

Body Designed for Collision Safety

The e-SUBARU GLOBAL PLATFORM efficiently absorbs and disperses collision energy from various directions. Its robust body structure minimises cabin deformation during impacts, protecting occupants and the battery.

Battery Protection

To protect the battery and cooling system in the event of a collision, the vehicle body features a frame made of ultra-high-tensile steel that surrounds the battery and effectively disperses collision energy. Additionally, fail-safe functions such as power cut-off and battery coolant leak protection have been integrated for enhanced safety.

SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) airbags, designed to protect occupants during collisions, have been provided for each part.
