About the Takata Airbag Recall

Affected vehicles have a passenger side frontal airbag inflator which is susceptible to moisture intrusion. Over time, accumulated moisture can cause the inflator to rupture upon its deployment during a frontal collision. Abnormal deployments are mainly found on vehicles that are exposed to high heat and humidity for a prolonged period, hence, vehicles in Asia are more susceptible to this phenomenon.

Motor Image Group customers not affected by power steering defects

Singapore, 24 January 2019 - Motor Image Group (MIG), distributor of Subaru vehicles in nine markets across Asia, today announced that its customers are not affected by the power steering defect announced by Subaru Corporation. None of the affected production has been delivered to MIG customers.
